The last time we saw Ethan Hunt, it was 2006. That year, Tom Cruise was the most powerful actor in Hollywood according to the now defunct Premiere magazine, and just weeks before Mission: Impossible III hit theaters, Suri was born. Five years, and a mere handful of film roles later, well, let’s just say Cruise could use all the help he can get, and wardrobe is always a good place to start.

This super-sleek, ultra-classic gray flannel suit from Unis blends in at any event that might need crashing.

A leather jacket can take a beating, and the hood on this Yigal Azrouël one offers an extra layer of protection, shielding any light that threatens to expose Hunt — or the fact that Cruise turns 50 next year.

Last go around, Hunt’s shades were more frightening than his special-ops skills. This time, he should opt for a pared-down retro style from Illesteva in tough-as-hell matte black.

It’s key to IMF success to have a black tie on hand — you know, just in case. And this Alexander Olch one is as polished as they come.

If we don’t get some repelling action, we’re going to feel (rightfully) gipped. Hopefully these Rag & Bone gloves will come in handy.
