Wanted: A Room-Sized Camera Obscura Kit

Share:

Okay, we admit it, we’ve never thought of turning a bedroom into a camera obscura before (no, not the band — the 2,500 year old optical device that projects its surroundings onto a screen or wall). But now that it’s been pointed out to us, we can tell that it’s a great idea. Photographer Justin Quinnell is now selling large-scale camera obscura kits, complete with a projection lens, a mount template, velcro tape, a projection sheet, handheld screen, and of course, detailed instructions so you can turn any room into a giant camera for fun and profit.
