Minimalist Odes to Some of the World’s Busiest Runways

We imagine that George Clooney’s extreme frequent flier character from Up in the Air would have been all over this series of screenprints by Chicago architect and designer Jerome Daksiewicz of Nomo Design, which we spotted over on Colossal. The self-initiated project currently features posters for Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles International, and Minneapolis St-Paul, with editions for Atlanta, Washington Dulles, Narita International, Phoenix Sky Harbor, and Zurich Airport all on the way. What’s more, for each print sold, Nomo will donate $2 to Challenge Air Program, a charity that provides aviation programs for special needs kids. Don’t see the runway that you or the world traveler in your life frequents on the list? Daksiewicz is currently taking suggestions for other airports to feature here.
