Strangely Compelling Photographs of Crushed Beer Cans

Share:

Whoever thought old, street-worn beer cans could be art? Brooklyn-based photographer Jonathon Kambouris’s newest project, “Beer Garden,” is a photographic series of crumpled cans of varying vintages, each found near the end of its life and captured with razor-sharp precision. Sure, at first you might think you’re just looking at pictures of colorful trash, but look a little closer and you’ll see that there is a strange beauty in each aged can, and perhaps a lingering story as well, not to mention some fine vintage beer can design. Click through to see a few of our favorites, and then be sure to head over to his website for even more of the project and Kambouris’s other work.
