Lunchtime Poll: Really Expensive Pre-Fab Home Edition

According to New York Magazine’s Intelligencer, the MOMA is having trouble unloading the “houses of the future” from their recent HOME DELIVERY exhibit. A Russian billionaire was supposed to buy all five, but then he got cold feet after the recent market crash.

Prices currently start at around $300,000 for a home by architect LAWRENCE SASS, but it’s obvious that they’re going to have to go a lot lower to start moving these puppies. According to government data, the average price for a double-wide “manufactured home” last year was just $74,100.

That’s quite the price mark up.

So here’s what we’re wondering:
