Just when we thought we couldn’t bear to see one more pop-culture permutation of Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night, an incredibly cool version of the painting pops up. The video below documents Greek artist Petros Vrellis‘ interactive, animated take on a masterpiece that’s just begging to be set into motion. Not only does Van Gogh’s swirling sky actually move, but viewers can use a touch interface to direct and disrupt both the animation’s flow and the MIDI sounds emanating from the piece. Click through to see Vrellis’ Starry Night in action, and visit Creative Applications to read more about the technical side of the project.
