Things are looking up, Greendale Human Beings! NBC president Robert Greenblatt, who promised last month that Community would return to finish out its third season, has kept his word. According to none other than Dan Harmon himself, America’s most “meta” community college clique will return to the network’s Thursday night line-up March 15th at 8pm. That means we should be able to look forward to at least one more epic paintball episode — and maybe even more.
As Warming Glow notes, Community‘s hiatus may have actually helped its chances at renewal. They remind us that NBC’s scripted programming has been faring miserably this season, earning an average Nielsen rating of 1.6 — and Community was scoring 1.61 before its break. Those aren’t exactly six seasons and a movie numbers, but they should definitely have network execs rethinking their cancellation plans.
