Monkees Singer Davy Jones Dies at 66

TMZ is reporting — and other news organizations have confirmed — that Monkees singer Davy Jones has died. The cause of death, according to an official from the Martin County, Florida medical examiner’s office, was a heart attack. According to Rolling Stone, the singer complained of chest pains before being admitted to a hospital in Stuart, Florida, where he passed away this morning. Jones, who was born in Manchester, England and joined the original boy band in 1965, last performed in Oklahoma on February 19th and appeared to be in good health. He was 66.
