Intense Photos from the Philly Tattoo Convention

Share:

Could you recognize a Philadelphia tattoo if you saw one? Maybe after flipping through these photographs from the Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Convention 2012 by New York-based photographer Eddie McShane you might. They’ll say, “South Philly” in large Italics. Just kidding. You will notice, however, that these particular ladies and gentlemen are covered with noticeably brighter ink. You will be torn between admiring these dense intricate body collages as a whole and getting snagged on a particular detail — Salvador Dalí peeking out madly from one gent’s waistline, Charles Manson wrapping around the rib of another, a hand portrait of a dog next to the actual dog, both gleaming with two sets of puppy eyes, aw. Check out Eddie McShane’s series from Behance and get some ideas.
