There’s something cold and even post-apocalyptic about most wire sculpture — probably because we instantly associate metal with the mechanical realm. But the work of British sculptor Derek Kinzett, which we spotted via iGNANT, is refreshingly human. His perfectly constructed, life-size men and women strike poses that suggest real emotions: sorrow, thoughtfulness, wonder, while his immaculate motorcycles and dreamy fantasy creatures — dragons, fairies — playfully betray personal fascinations.
