Watch Natalie Portman and Johnny Depp Accompany Paul McCartney’s “My Valentine” in ASL

Last night, Paul McCartney premiered the video for “My Valentine,” from his newest album Kisses on the Bottom, and it proved to be a classy, somber production in steely black and white. Oh yes, and it features Natalie Portman and Johnny Depp signing the lyrics to the song in American Sign Language, matching cadence with McCartney’s golden voice. It’s a lovely song and a nice idea for a video, and though Portman sells the sign language a little more than Depp — sometimes we wondered if he wasn’t just waving his hands around and looking intense no matter what was going on lyric-wise — they both fit the romantic, super-stylized vibe.
