Just when you thought the Zooey Deschanel backlash was about to begin (for being cute, almost too cute), she stabs someone. That’s right, America’s indie-princess plays Sid Vicious and pulls the knife on 500 Days of Summer co-star, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who is cast as Vicious’ waring love interest, Nancy Spungen, in a “cinemashed” digital short. We love this gender reversal. Mean Magazine ‘s exclusive digital series, “Mean’s Cinemash,” combines unlikely actors with unlikely film roles.
500 Days of Summer cinemashed with Sid and Nancy produced hilarious results, but we see potential rivalry with August 14’s episode of Training Day, starring Common and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (McLovin’).
