Hear What Happens When Lana Del Rey, Azealia Banks, and Foster the People Collaborate

How do you improve Lana Del Rey’s “Blue Jeans”? Mark Foster and Isom Innis from Foster the People, who have formed a DJ duo called Smims&Belle, have an idea: Throw in a throbbing dance beat, edit Del Rey’s vocal contributions down to a minimum of sleepy-voice gangsta posturing, and bring on Azealia Banks to add a truly fresh verse. We never thought we’d co-sign anything that involved both Lana Del Rey and Foster the People, but we’ve got to admit that this is pretty damn catchy. The truth is, we’d have a hard time not loving anything with a contribution from Banks. Hell, she could probably drop a verse on an Insane Clown Posse song and we’d be into that, too. Listen to Smims&Belle’s “Blue Jeans” remix below.
