Paging Tim Burton (or maybe Marilyn Manson): Gene Wilder’s iconic costume from one of Hollywood’s all-time weirdest kids’ movies, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, will be on the auction block in July. If the retro dandy in your life has an extra $80,000 – $120,000 lying around, Wonka’s “flamboyant purple velvet frock coat, wool & camelhair slacks, off-white shirt, distinctive purple & violet lamé vest with floral design and satin bow tie” can be his via Profiles in History.
The outfit is only one of many Willy Wonka artifacts up for sale. Those with an insatiable sweet tooth can bid on one of just two Everlasting Gobstoppers in existence ($20,000 – $30,000, but you’ll never buy candy again), and spoiled brats around the world will want to put the Golden Egg that doomed Veruca Salt on their Christmas lists. Unfortunately, there’s been no word yet on how much that three-course meal gum is going for, although we assume the medical bills you’ll incur by getting yourself juiced would render such a purchase prohibitive.
