HBO’s parade of True Blood previews continues today with no fewer than three clips from next Sunday’s season premiere, along with a juicy trailer that features Sam bound by the neck, Russell Edgington at large, and Sookie’s priceless quip, “A 3000-year-old vampire wants to suck my blood. Must be Thursday!” In the premiere excerpts, meanwhile, we see a tense family dinner at Terry and Arlene’s and the moment Alcide reveals to Sookie that Russell is back. But the real scoop is that the storyline in which Bill and Eric team up has basically transformed the show into a vampire buddy comedy — which, in case you’re wondering, is the speed-of-light version of your standard buddy comedy. Please note that this is not a complaint: the campier the promos get, the more excited we become for Season 5. Rejoice in all four videos, below.
