Because as the Guardian explains, it marks the long-awaited return of architect Kathryn Findlay to the UK scene after a successful run as part of husband and wife design team Ushida Findlay in the ’90s. Even more importantly, they think “it could also contain the germ of a new aesthetic for 21st-century rural architecture” — a marriage between traditional and modern, rural and urban.
