Creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss even pointed it out in the DVD commentary, stating that the head appeared in several scenes, and the choice to use it wasn’t “political,” just practical. They apologized, and HBO chastised them, promising to have it removed. While we’re still wondering why the crew had a random Bush head hanging around, Deadline reports that the company has made good on their promise. They’ve edited and altered the prop, now featuring a smaller chin and nose, and a frizzier hairstyle further obscuring the face.
