Although Community creator Dan Harmon won’t be returning to the comedy series, the sitcom’s much-loved cast will be. Deadline reported that Sony Pictures TV has picked up the options on all the actors — including Chevy Chase, who seemed like a no-go after the actor’s long-running feud with Harmon and comments made during an April interview. “I probably won’t be around that much longer,” he previously told Huffington Post.
It was already reported that writers David Guarascio and Moses Port (co-creators of Aliens in America) would take over as showrunners and executive producers for the 13-episode fourth season of the cult hit. The cast’s return is good news following the announcement of a Community Comic-Con panel, where Joel McHale, Alison Brie, Yvette Nicole Brown, Gillian Jacobs, and Danny Pudi. The show also won big at the recent Critics Choice Television Awards for Best Comedy Series, which means everybody should be all smiles at Greendale Community College. Are you braving Comic-Con so you can congratulate everyone in person? Is the Chase news good or bad in your book?
