Many people begin and end their days in front of the bathroom mirror — brushing our teeth, washing our faces, surveying the damage of the day/week/year. In this simple but poignant French short film, Le Miroir (The Mirror), directed by Ramon and Pedro, otherwise known as Antoine Tinguely and Laurent Fauchère, a boy lives out his entire life in that bathroom mirror, each new shot telling a new piece of the story of his life. The movie, which recently won Most Creative Short in the Shanghai International Film Festival, and the Audience Award in Spain’s Manlleu Film Festival, tugs at our heartstrings in a surprising way.
