Quote of the Day: Does Hollywood Have a Place in the White House?

David Axelrod, the president’s senior adviser, talks to the New York Times about Kalpen Modi’s (aka Kal Penn) role as the associate director of the Office of Public Engagement in the White House. On his first day on the job, the White House set up a “one time only” opportunity to interview the former star about the transition. Modi is currently taking a sabbatical from acting; this has been complicated by the fact that Warner Bros. announced a new Harold and Kumar movie for 2010.
