This just in: Our friends at the 92YTribeca are celebrating the downtown venue’s first anniversary with none other than Flavorpill favorite Sufjan Stevens. The event takes place on Saturday, October 24, and according to the press release, “includes Stevens introducing two screenings of The BQE, a documentary that captures his film and musical suite (performed at the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Next Wave Festival in November of 2007).”

This coincides with the The BQE‘s DVD release and marks the first time New York audiences will be able to experience the multimedia project since the live performance.

Osso, a New York-based string quartet featured on Steven’s Come On! Feel the Illinoise! and Songs for Christmas will be on hand performing their interpretations of his electronica album, Enjoy Your Rabbit, and the 92Y Tribeca gallery will hosts an exhibition of Denny Renshaw’s photographs used in The BQE and Jessica Dessner’s pencil drawings for Stevens’ Run Rabbit Run cover art.

Tickets are $12 in advance/$15 day of.
