Considering how many diehard Kubrick fans we have lurking in the comments of most of our film roundups, not to mention our own well-documented obsession with the director, we thought it was worth sharing this fantastic new video essay by Vimeo user Kogonada that explores his signature use of one-point perspective shots in his work. Watching this lovely assemblage of clips, it’s easy to see why the symmetry-loving auteur just couldn’t help himself, isn’t it?
