Today at Flavorpill, we reimagined classic album covers with Furbys. We read 30 of the most evil lines from books. We remembered why we love Kyle MacLachlan so much and then arranged a date for this Twin Peaks party. We watched a video from an artist who documented life from ages 0 to 100 in Amsterdam. We loved this interview with comix icons Daniel Clowes, Chris Ware, and Gilbert and Jaime Hernandez. We saw what it would look like if Tim Burton had designed The Avengers. We visited 10 of America’s best historic restaurants. We celebrated T.S. Eliot’s birthday by reading 10 of his greatest quotes and listening to his reading of “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock.” We explored a taxonomy of American barbecue sauces. We listened to Andy Serkis reading The Hobbit as Gollum. And finally, we were happy to find out that Brian Eno will be releasing the album LUX in November — his first solo work in seven years.
