The Trippiest Night-Sky Timelapse We’ve Ever Seen

There are so many cool timelapse videos around these days that it really takes something incredible to capture our attention. But Daniel Lowe of Daniel Dragon Films has utterly enraptured us with “Startrails Timelapse Carolina,” photographed over two years in Huckleberry Knob and Salvo, North Carolina. By sequencing static shots taken over such a long period, he traces the path stars take through the night sky, visually transforming each one into a shooting star and turning the heavens into a psychedelic dreamworld. According to Lowe, the “video captures the actual motion and appearance of light; nothing has been added with respect to computer generated graphics.” Watch “Startrails Timelapse Carolina” below.
