If you have a scorpion jacket hiding in your closet, or you just really loved Nicolas Winding Refn’s Drive , then we have some good and bad news. The director recently told The Evening Standard (via Slash Film) that while he doesn’t envision a sequel to the neo-noir film starring a dreamy — but chilling — Ryan Gosling as a getaway driver, a spin-off of sorts is a possibility. “That is never going to happen,” Refn stated in regards to a sequel, “But the character of the driver might return in another film. We’re playing with that idea. We’ll see what happens.” The filmmaker has already reunited with Gosling for the upcoming crime thriller Only God Forgives, and the actor is set to appear in Refn’s remake of sci-fi classic, Logan’s Run — but we need more Baby Goose wheelman in our lives. Where would you like to see The Driver turn up next? An Avengers sequel appearance would be ideal, obviously.
