The upcoming Zero Dark Thirty from Kathryn Bigelow, which opens in theaters December 19, will be the first film from the Oscar-winning director since 2008’s The Hurt Locker. Joel Edgerton, Jessica Chastain, Chris Pratt, Kyle Chandler, Mark Strong, and Jason Clarke star. We just found out last night, thanks to EW, that James Gandolfini will appear as Leon Panetta, the current Secretary of Defense. He was head of the CIA when Bin Laden was captured. After the few obscure teasers, it’s nice to finally see how Bigelow captured the tense mission and has highlighted Tree of Life star Chastain as a CIA Operative.
