Today at Flavorpill, we met Mr. B, the Gentleman Rhymer and “Epic Mustache Wearer.” We scoped the 25 best blogs of 2012. We explored the Art & Absinthe Guide to Brooklyn. We found out that Superman got a job at Huffington Post. We admired this collection of vintage horror comic covers. We loved these Walking Dead pumpkins and tracked the show’s weapon and kill stats with this handy infographic. We wanted these Star Wars scarecrows on our front lawns. We ranked all the new network shows by their Nielsen ratings. We dug into Louis C.K.’s backstory with SNL. We were happy to learn that a majority of Americans from the ages of 16 through 29 still frequent libraries. We spotted one artist’s large, mammary-inspired installation, created to help raise awareness about breast cancer. We asked ourselves if we would watch foreign language spin-offs of popular film franchises. We visited 10 amazing design shops in Stockholm, Helsinki and Copenhagen. We watched Steven Spielberg And John Williams compose the E.T. theme song. And finally, we learned how a Haunted Mansion addict fell in love with the greatest ride on earth. “By the time we debarked, I was half-scared, half-delighted, and entirely hooked,” Cory Doctorow writes. “I’d always been a monster kid — loved my monster coloring books, adored Hallowe’en, built monster models. But this was, well, it was a revelation.”
