Pop Culture Characters as Day of the Dead Miniatures

The fine folks at iam8bit in Los Angeles are hosting a dual exhibition that opens this Friday, October 26, and it should put you in the Halloween spirit. Do you want to see the likes of Mr. T and the cast of Breaking Bad as tiny cartoon skeletons? Of course you do. Artist Señor Chips creates Day of the Dead-style dioramas, remixing pop culture’s greatest as undead characters in weird, miniature worlds.

Meanwhile, designer and illustrator evAnimal will be enjoying his first solo exhibition on the same evening, Fast Cars, Bad Broads, Rugged Men. His detailed pieces are first drawn, then transferred to natural wood panels, allowing the grain to show through the fine linework. Violent, memorable, and amazing scenes from cinema populate his portfolio. Check out a preview of the exhibition past the break, then head to iam8bit’s website for more information, or just to make your eyeballs happy.
