Here at Flavorpill, we always look forward to the Flavorpill Sessions: after all, they involve having great bands come and perform in our office, so what’s not to like? Having said that, we’re particularly looking forward to today’s installment, which involves Irish three-piece Ash setting up at Flavorpill central to play a few songs. Ash were the first band your humble Music Editor ever saw at an over-18s show, and we’ve always had the softest of soft spots for them, so we’re hugely chuffed to have them play here.
To celebrate, we’ve got an exclusive free MP3 of “Arcadia,” a track that drummer Rick McMurray describes as “the unofficial anthem of the A-Z tour which coincided with the launch of the series in the UK. It’s an anthemic call to arms, with an instant sing along chorus. To me it’s a song about the moment you fall in love and you feel invincible and the world feels like it was made for you.
