Bizarre Sculptures Made from Old Bike Parts

Creating a work of art from a box of discarded bike components might sound like a daunting task, but that’s exactly what the 80 artists participating in this year’s pART Project have done. What’s more, their pieces are being auctioned off on November 29 in New York City, with the proceeds going to World Bicycle Relief, an organization that uses bicycle mobility to fuel development projects in sub-Saharan Africa. Pretty cool, right? Click through for a slideshow of some of the most interesting bike-part art, which we spotted thanks My Modern Met, then grab your tickets for the charity auction here.
