Could it be that we’ve discovered something that’s even more exploitative/grotesquely fascinating than Toddlers & Tiaras? The Guardian turned us on to the work of Florida animal photographer Ren Netherland, a man who shoots the dogs who compete at “creative grooming” shows. (It takes about two hours for groomers to prep each animal for showtime.) “The transformation they go through is simply spectacular,” he has said. “There’s no other word for it.
