Saturday marked what would have been Michael Jackson’s 51st birthday, and director Spike Lee organized a block party to celebrate. Originally planned for Fort Greene Park, the site of Lee and Jackson’s very first meeting, the celebration moved to Prospect Park’s Nethermead to accommodate the expected crowd. Judging from the photos, it’s a good thing that they did.
