Powerful Black and White Portraits That Capture the Beauty of Parkour

Share:

Spotted by PetaPixel, this series by New York-based photographer and videographer Ben Franke uses flour and dramatic lighting to capture the gravity-defying movements of parkour like you’ve never seen them before. “It’s a challenge for any photographer to convey authentic movement in a photograph — as it’s a 2D medium — but my series Parkour Motion attempts to translate motion by displaying the energy and power of these athletes,” he explains. Check out the resulting images and see just how successful he was!
