The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have teamed up with our pals at Gallery1988 to release a series of screenprints inspired by this year’s Best Picture nominees. Created by nine different artists, illustrators, and graphic designers, the images range from a sprawling Western landscape (Django Unchained) to a take on religious iconography (Life of Pi). Moonrise Kingdom may still be conspicuously absent, but the prints are enough to make you forget about this year’s controversial snubs, if only for a few minutes.
