An interesting moment in a new Rolling Stone interview with Stephen Colbert. When he asked if he would apologize in character, Colbert gave this rather meta response, “It would be meant sincerely, though of course it would have to be done as a joke. So your question is very interesting to me. Can someone perceive something my character says sincerely? I don’t know the answer to that.”
Leave your guesses about who he offended in the comments. Could it have something to do with his now infamous appearance at the 2006 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner?
