We wish we could get our hands on “redesigned” classic books. Covered in doodles by the original authors, the books were re-sold to benefit English PEN. We also came across an amazing series of bookplates done by F. Scott Fitzgerald and illustrator, Herb Roth. Created for The New Yorker and drawing inspiration from famous works, the pieces are worth a look. While on the subject of classics, we found a list of major movies that were almost entirely different movies altogether. Venturing into art, we found ourselves amused and intrigued by sculptor Mark Jenkins realistic street art sculptures. Lastly, we tuned into a conversation at the 92Y with panelists January Jones, Matthew Weiner and Jessica Paré.
