Heather Locklear Returns to Melrose Place as Amanda Woodward

The Hollywood Reporter just informed us that The CW has signed Heather Locklear to join the new Melrose Place, perhaps as a way to resuscitate lackluster ratings. As die-hard fans of the original — specifically the work of “special guest star” Heather Locklear — we are overjoyed by this news. The official line from executive producers Todd Slavkin & Darren Swimmer: “We’re ecstatic to have the chance to bring Amanda Woodward back to ‘Melrose Place. Heather’s involvement in the show is something we’ve been working on for some time as we couldn’t imagine creating and producing this show without the iconic character’s inclusion.”

So, that’s exciting. And yet, we can’t shake the nagging feeling that the real Amanda Woodward would never have caved in like this. Regardless, we’ll take any excuse to roundup some of our favorite evil Amanda clips. Most of them involve Allison Parker.

Amanda suggests that Billy, who currently lives with her employee Allison, move in with her.

Amanda and Allison play an awkward role playing game at a company retreat.

Amanda slaps Jake after he kisses her.

Amanda tells Allison she’s going to make her wish that she had never been born.

After setting her up to fail in a big meeting, Amanda fires Allison and is named the new president at D&D.

Amanda threatens to kill Jack, her sort of ex-husband who is the hospital because of her current boyfriend Peter.

Amanda catches her now husband Peter coming home late with Taylor and Kyle. Taylor is Peter’s dead wife’s sister, and is trying to seduce him.

Amanda pretends to be interested in Billy so that she gets a new contract at D&D.

On a side note, don’t you wish they could bring back crazy Dr. Kimberly Shaw?
