Haunting Photos of Discarded Household Items

Benoit Paillé is a Canadian photographer who has caught our interest in years past, and his series Jour du Demenagement (spotted via Faith is Torment) is a lovely collection of haunting and ethereal photographs that completely represent his lovely aesthetic. The photos, which depict mounds of discarded household items left on the street, offer hundreds of potential narratives, as well as comment on the detritus of consumerism. (Not to mention playing on our irrational fear of bed bugs, but maybe that’s just me.) Check out the series after the jump.
