It’s up to the viewer do draw their own conclusions about the meanings and motives behind the photographs featured in Tyler Shields’ new book The Dirty Side of Glamour, which offers everything from Glee stars with black eyes to the butchering of a purse that could pay your rent for a year. The shots are obviously meant to provoke a visceral response — some even challenge us to resist averting our eyes. Click through for a sampling of work from the book.
