We’ve got a pretty substantial soft spot for yé-yé pop here at Flavorwire, and as such, we’re rather looking forward to the publication of a new book called Yé-Yé! Girls of ’60s French Pop Music. The book is out on December 12, but we’re rather chuffed to have a bunch of images for a preview gallery. They encompass a wide range of the era’s stars, from enduring icons like Françoise Hardy and Brigitte Bardot to lesser-known contemporaries like Chantal Kelly — there are album covers, fashion spreads, advertisements, and what appears to be an early version of Vice’s Dos and Don’ts, all blazing with esprit du temps.
