Haunting Photographs of Discarded Christmas Trees

Share:

Usually when we see discarded Christmas trees, they’re dumped in alley ways, on the street, or in close proximity to dumpsters. Most often there’s a trail of loose pine needles scattered around the ground leading to a sad, skinny Christmas tree. Hungarian photographer Gergo Gosztom, though, managed to make the sad sights a little more poignant. Gosztom’s After Christmas (spotted via Faith is Torment) depicts the usual sight of trashed trees in an illuminating way — the trees are still decorated and lit up with lights, showing how quickly we throw away these seasonal decorations.
