Man Casts Himself as Bloody Victim of Violent Subway Posters

Subway advertisements are prime targets for ridicule and graffiti, but rarely does mocking the images we see so often while we wait for the train lend itself to clever art. New York City-based artist Jon Burgerman discovered a clever way to bring even more attention to these sometimes-imposing ads: by playing the unwitting victim to their violent imagery. From getting shot by one of Orlando Bloom’s arrows from The Hobbit to becoming a James Bond target, Burgerman’s gorey series Head Shots (spotted via Fast Company Co.Create) is a hilarious collection of images that will certainly make you see these advertisements in a darker way.
