Guy and Howard Lawrence, the brothers behind house-pop revivalists Disclosure, have slowly been trickling out goodies from their forthcoming sophomore album, Caracal, out September 25. Now one of the album’s singles, “Holding On,” has a video that blends psychic magic with futurism.
As seen below, the Ryan Hope-directed video for “Holding On” centers around a woman who seems to be capable of moving large objects with her mind, as well as seeing dead people. The Mexico City-set clip is the first in a series to be explored in the Caracal rollout.
As for Caracal, the LP features a bevy of up-and-coming vocalists as featured guests, including Lion Babe, Nao, and Kwabs, as well as jazz singer Gregory Porter. Also, Sam Smith — who led Disclosure’s “Latch” to great commercial success last year — returns for this album, Disclosure’s follow-up to 2013’s Settle.
