In an ideal world, Jarvis Cocker would have won all the gold records — but since we live on a planet of philistines, Pulp took the best part of 15 years to achieve any sort of commercial success and only enjoyed modest sales in comparison to the Beyoncés of this world.
Happily, however, Jarvis has been making his own gold records — specifically, for an exhibition in Paris called 20 Golden Greats, for which he’s created a series of fictional awards, along with a soundtrack.
