“It’s being done with such love and such enthusiasm from everybody, I think you’ll be able to feel that coming off the screen,” Oscar Isaac says in a new behind-the-scenes featurette for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which debuted at Comic-Con last night. Fans attending the Star Wars panel were hoping for a trailer during the discussion (after which everyone dashed off to a surprise Star Wars concert), but they got a surprise appearance from a craggy-voiced Harrison Ford and the behind-the-scenes clip instead. “I will tell you that it felt great. I wasn’t so sure it would, but the company was the right company. The director was the right director. [Lawrence Kasdan] wrote us a wonderful story. And I was proud and grateful to once again be involved,” Ford stated to the panel audience in his first appearance since his plane accident. In the below featurette, which doesn’t tell us much of anything new, we see Peter Mayhew resume his role as the beloved Chewbacca and hear more about director J. J. Abrams’ commitment to prioritizing practical effects.
