Don’t you wish you’d just wake up one morning, check the news and find out you won an award? Well in the magical life of Taylor Swift, that actually happens sometimes: Swift was awarded an Emmy today, but didn’t know until she read about it in The Hollywood Reporter .
The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the winners of some of the technically oriented Emmy awards today, ahead of the primary ceremony on September 20. Swift’s AMEX Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience, a promotion that allowed fans to look around the set for the “Blank Space” music video, won the “Original Interactive Program” award.
When she read the news in the Reporter story announcing the winners, Swift responded on Twitter:
Obviously, it’s not exactly the award you’d expect her to win, but hey. When it’s an Emmy, you take what you can get, right?
