Illustrations Contrast Cultural Icons With Their Younger Selves

Colombian illustrator Fulvio Obregón’s series Me and My Other Me uses a simple premise to make a sometimes-jarring juxtaposition. Drawing well-known figures, from tech millionaires like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs to iconic musicians like Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson, as both older adults and children or teens wearing markers of their future success, Obregón makes images that range from the amusing (young Jobs’ Toy Story shirt) to the tragic (the contrast between Michael Jackson as child performer and Michael Jackson as embattled superstar).
