Cats Cat-alyze the Apocalypse in Run the Jewels’ “Oh My Darling (Don’t Meow)” Video

It’s a good day for cats and a bad day for New York: a gaggle of uber-cats have conquered the city, and the devastation they’ve caused — shooting down helicopters, taking mega-turds on police vehicles, causing traffic jams that’d make Chris Christie proud — is visible in a harrowing video below, which is not for the faint of heart, nor the afraid-of-cat.

Okay, okay. If you happen to be in New York, luckily, you can look out your window and see that — while it may be overrun by a stray “cat crisis” — none of them are staring you in the face through your skyscraper window, preparing to laser you with their callous gaze.

Indeed, there is no such attack currently taking place, but for in the world of Run the Jewels. The rap duo recently released their remix album, Meow the Jewels, which applies feline remixes to every track on the acclaimed Jewels album, RTJ2. (Despite the jocular theme, the featured artists are no joke: the album includes mixes from Boots, Massive Attack’s 3D, Zola Jesus and Portishead’s Geoff Barrow, to name a few.)

This particular video is for the track “Oh My Darling (Don’t Meow),” (a Flavorwire favorite) remixed by producer Just Blaze. Watch:
