Watch: Grace Jones and Iggy Pop Cure the World of Puritanism in ‘Gutterdämmerung’ Trailer

Back in July, it was announced that Iggy Pop, Grace Jones and Henry Rollins would be uniting for the “loudest silent movie on Earth,” by Bjorn Tagemose. A video introducing the project — called Gutterdämmerung — was shared, as were plot descriptions about a sad, sinless world that God has dulled by denying mankind the Devil’s Evil Guitar…until a rebellious angel played by Iggy Pop sends the guitar, and all its sexy, druggy connotations, back down to Earth. Now, the trailer for the film has been shared, and it’s just as goofy (yet visually striking) as it’s trying to be.

In the trailer, you’ll get to see the aforementioned musicians (Iggy Pop is especially breathtaking in his angel wings), as well as Motörhead’s Lemmy, Nina Hagen, Joshua Homme, Slash, Mark Lanegan, Jesse Hughes (of Eagles of Death Metal), Tom Araya (of Slayer) reinvigorate the wasteland of a post-rockpocalyptic world. The trailer calls it “an explosive cinematic show accompanied by a live rock ‘n’ roll band…coming to a stage near you,” and the film’s Facebook promises “an exclusive fan event in London for all you badasses” on November 12. Presumably it’ll begin shredding and spreading sin near you soon after:
