Today, Petite Noir released his music video for the title track from his first LP, La Vie Est Belle/Life Is Beautiful.”La Vie set Belle” serves as the feature example of Noir’s self-proclaimed style, “noirwave,” an African take on New Wave.
The video was produced as part of Urban Outfitters’ “UO Music Video Series,” and director Alan Del Rio Ortiz described the video on the company’s blog. “The overall concept is of him falling into a virtual reality world where he meets his virtual self. It has to do with thoughts on reality and what we perceive versus what actually exists.”
